Discussion:
N-400 & Photo Requirements

Some of the older documents say that no eyeglasses should be worn for
the 2 pictures that have to be submitted with the N-400. This includes
instructions in the, it seems to me, outdated "Guide to Naturalization"
that is on USCIS' website (1st page of "Document Checklist").

The photo flyer says "All photos must meet the specifications for
full-frontal/passport photos.". It then refers to a site on
www.travel.state.gov on which I found the following document
"http://travel.state.gov/pdf/Photo%20Guide%2010-01-04.pdf". Page 5 of
this document says "Eyeglasses should be worn if normally used by the
subject".

I have the pics already wearing glasses. I assume that should be ok or
should I go and retake the pictures without glasses. That would be
against the requirements of passport pictures.

Thanks
Kat

Eyeglasses are fine... don't worry about it.

Sigh -- the photographer made me take off my eyeglasses for my PP last
year which gave me a deer-in-the-headlights appearance. I've always
worn a coat-and-tie for my PP photo since I want to project a very
conserative business look on that document. I'm considering in getting
a replacement passport the pic is so bad.

LOL - if you time it well, you may get one of the new electronic
passports!

Or, if you time it well, you might NOT get one of the new remote-
readable passports! :)
